Privacy Policy

OpenTariff doesn't require an account and doesn't store the products or HTS codes you look up. This page lists the third-party tools that run on the site, what each one collects, and how to turn them off.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Runs on every page load, no consent gate, because it doesn't use cookies or collect anything that identifies you — it's a beacon script that reports aggregate page views and load times to Cloudflare. We use it to see whether pages load fast enough, nothing else.
Google Analytics 4
Loads only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner (property ID G-2J0RVCBVXN). It sets cookies to distinguish visits and records which pages you view, which HTS codes and product searches you run on this site, and coarse technical details (browser, device type, approximate location derived from IP). IP addresses are truncated before Google stores them (anonymize_ip). Data is processed and stored on Google's infrastructure, subject to Google's own privacy policy. We use it to see which pages and features actually get used, and — for two events specifically (match_type, verified) — whether the tariff-calculation logic is actually returning confident, verified answers rather than guesses.
Microsoft Clarity
Also gated behind the cookie banner (project ID yedp4as5eq). Clarity records anonymized session replays and click/scroll heatmaps so we can see where people get stuck on a page; it masks text typed into form fields by default. Data is stored on Microsoft's infrastructure, subject to Microsoft's own privacy policy.
How to opt out
Click "Reject" on the cookie banner on your first visit, or reopen it any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page — your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key ot_consent and applies immediately, no page reload needed. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain resets the choice back to undecided. Rejecting stops Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity from loading at all; Cloudflare Web Analytics keeps running, since it collects no personal data and needs no consent under GDPR/ePrivacy. You can also block Google Analytics site-wide with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
